With the Earth Theme for Vista you can feel like you’re getting back to nature. Obviously you’re actually on your computer, but reflections, transparency and the background supplied really help the computer feel natural. I love backgrounds like the one supplied – a huge mountain range with a lake underneath can be inspiring and thought provoking. Even the taskbar is modified – it’s at the top with the start menu coming down, just so that you can see that awesome background – and feel like your computer is unique.

Grey Theme has a high level of transparency. Now I like that in a theme, as long as it’s used properly. If the background supplied is white and the text is white, then that isn’t going to work is it. But naturally, seeing as this is the Ultimate Grey theme, it has Ultimately hurdled over that challenge by supplying a grey background.

As soon as I saw the name, and looked at the Windows Vista theme, I recognized something inspiring about it. There is something about the combination of colors, the large icons and the taskbar being at the top which combines with the background to produce something awesome. I looked at the theme for at least a couple of intense minutes, trying to figure out what it was that was so amazing about this theme.
